AK Steel announced Wednesday it will boost transaction prices for its
stainless hot rolled sheet, strip, and continuous mill
plate products by 10 percent, effective September 3, 2006. The company stated that its published
stainless product surcharges will remain in effect. AK Steel has increased transaction prices for its
stainless steel products every consecutive month since March of this year.
