Altos Hornos de Mexico (Ahmsa) is prepared to meet the demand for steel plate and tinplate required for the domestic market in each of its sectors including special plate for ship building and other products, said the director of the company Luis Zamudio Michielsen in an interview this week with local media outlet Infonor.

"Right now we are serving the market of plate and tin plate, and make new products with a high degree of specialization and this consolidates the market, we could venture into plate for shipbuilding, offshore platforms, and pipelines for gas and gasoline in the country," he said.
