Acerinox achieves best half-yearly results in its history

Spanish stainless steel producer Acerinox S.A. has announced its financial results for the first half this year.

The company reported a net profit of €609 million for the first half of the current year, compared to a net profit of €203 million in the corresponding half of 2021, while its sales revenue came to €4.82 billion, rising by 57.5 percent year on year. The company also said EBITDA in the first half this year amounted to €945 million, compared to €378 million in the first half of the previous year. The company achieved its best half-year results in the first half this year in its 52-year history.

In the first half, the company’s total steel production decreased by 3.7 percent year on year to 1.29 million mt. The company’s stainless steel production decreased by eight percent year on year.

According to its statement, the company estimates that its EBITDA will improve in the third quarter, rising above the average quarterly results of 2021.
