6,000 mt of Hansteel’s pipeline steel exported to Nigeria

Hebei Province-based Chinese steel producer Hebei Iron and Steel Group (HBIS) has announced that 6,000 mt of 20.6 mm X70M pipeline steel from its subsidiary Handan Iron and Steel Co. (Hansteel) has been exported to Nigeria after being transformed into pipe at a pipe mill in Jiangsu Province.

The pipeline steel in question was produced at Hansteel's 2,250 mm production line, which has produced a total of over 1 million mt of pipeline steel since its commissioning in August 2008 up to the present.
