US OCTG prices "still high" due to strong oil demand

SteelOrbis has confirmed that the spot market price range for US domestic plain-end J55 ERW OCTG casing is trending at approximately $125-$135 cwt. ($2,756-$2,976/mt or $2,500-$2,700/nt), FOB mill.  Sources have confirmed that energy pipe prices are “holding strong” due to high oil prices and robust demand.  Earlier today, it was reported that Brent crude is trading at more than $113 per barrel, whereas US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) is trading at just shy of $110 per barrel.
