Prior ex-mill deal making within the US domestic API X-52 line pipe market has pushed the official spot market transaction range downward.

In previous weeks, SteelOrbis reported prices were in the range of $64-$67 cwt. ($1,411-$1,477/mt or $1,280-$1,340/nt) ex-mill; today, prices are being heard at $61-$64 cwt. ($1,345-$1,411/mt or $1,220-$1,280/nt), ex-mill.

Some of the softening, sources note, is tied to concerns about drilling activity and oil prices, while falling US HRC prices reportedly played a role as well.
