US domestic API X-52 spot market prices are still trending in the range of $64-$67 cwt. ($1,411-$1,477/mt or $1,280-$1,340/nt), ex-mill, while pricing out of Mexico for that same product is trending at $65 cwt. ($1,433/mt or $1,300/nt), FOB Texas. The Mexican pricing includes the Section 232 tariff.

Domestic prices, however, may soon inch upward should US flats producers be successful in raising prices on domestic hot rolled coil. ArcelorMittal USA, Nucor and US Steel this week announced they would be raising prices by a minimum of $2.00 cwt. ($44/mt or $40/nt) effective with all new orders. Should the increase be accepted, it’s believed that pipe mills will try to pass that cost onto their customers.
