Earlier this week, US domestic standard pipe producers announced they’d be raising prices by a minimum of $7.50 cwt. ($165/mt or $150/nt), effective immediately.  Sources have since confirmed that prices for A53 Grade A standard pipe have climbed to $108 cwt. ($2,381/mt or $2,160/nt), delivered. Prices for A53 Grade B standard pipe are trending $2.50 cwt. ($55/mt or $50/nt) higher.

Sources further speculate that upticks in HRC and scrap prices are likely to push standard pipe prices up even further, adding they believe another price increase is likely to hit “as soon as next week.”
