The most commonly heard spot price transaction range for US domestic Grade A ERW BPE continues to hold at $49-$50 cwt. ($1080-$1102/mt or $980-$1000/nt), ex-mill, although some sources close to SteelOrbis say they believe that a growing number of quiet deals are taking place based on some of the softness in hot rolled coil prices.

Current standard pipe prices, however, show a significant improvement from the same reporting period in 2016. In mid-April 2016, SteelOrbis reported that US domestic Grade A ERW BPE spot market prices were trending at $39.50-$40.50 cwt. ($871-$893/mt or $790-$810/nt), ex-Midwest mill.
