US domestic HSS prices expected to soften

Sources close to SteelOrbis have confirmed that book prices for US domestic HSS tubing continue to be heard at approxiamtely $97-$98 cwt. ($2,138-$2,161/mt or $1,940-$1,960/nt), FOB mill.  However, similar to previous weeks, deals below $90 cwt. ($1,984/mt or $1800/nt), FOB mill, have been heard based on volume.  

An official downward revision is expected in the upcoming days, a source said, noting that the next revision will likely take book pricing down by “at least $5.00 cwt. ($110/mt or $100/nt).
