Turkish welded pipe prices rise by a further $30-40/mt

In the local Turkish welded pipe market, prices have increased by $30-40/mt since last week due to higher hot rolled coil (HRC) and scrap prices, while demand in the same period has remained moderate. Producers are mostly offering for January-February production, with their prices now at $730-760/mt ex-works. "We have sufficient demand and higher raw material prices. We believe prices will increase further. Also, export demand supports prices," a producer told SteelOrbis.

On the export side, prices have increased by $30-40/mt over the past week to $720-740/mt FOB, while demand has remained at sufficient levels, especially from the EU.

** Prices are given for ERW pipes and hollow sections with 2-4 mm wall thickness made from HRC of S235 grade as per EN 10219, on theoretical weight basis.
