Domestic and export quotations of welded pipes are increasing in Turkey due to the recent increases in import and domestic prices for feedstock. Turkish pipe producers, having used up their stocks of coils, have had to buy in new material at new prices. As a result, domestic quotations have risen by $20-50/mt and export offers have increased by $10-30/mt compared with two weeks ago. Currently Turkish suppliers export welded pipes to the Middle East, Africa, England, but Europe is the biggest market. Therefore, everyone is seeking to sell to the European countries. If European customers accept the new prices, the current increase trend will slowly continue; however, if Turkish exporters are unable to sell, the prices will remain at the same level and will eventually fall down again.
