This week's hollow section (HS) prices in Turkey have remained stable despite deteriorating market conditions. Impacted by the lack of demand and economic woes in Turkey and worldwide, several pipe suppliers predict that prices in the hollow section market will decline in the coming weeks. However, some pipe traders believe that prices will remain at the current levels owing to rising expenses.

“The notion that prices will continue at current levels will be impossible as long as there is little demand,” a trader told SteelOrbis

Prices in the local hollow section market are currently $750-800/mt ex-works, in line with the levels last week. Hollow section export prices are at $770–850/mt FOB, unchanged from last Friday.
