Amid the lack of a significant recovery in demand, Turkey’s welded pipe export prices have remained stable in the current week. Turkish producers’ offer range for ERW pipes and hollow sections with 2-4 mm wall thickness made from hot rolled coil (HRC) of S235 grade as per EN 10219 to the export markets has remained unchanged at $600-640/mt FOB. However, according to market sources, buyers still consider price levels of $630/mt and above to be on the high side and some buyers have concluded deals below that level.

According to market sources, welded pipe exporting countries which are subject to antidumping investigations are finding it difficult to conclude export sales and so they are searching for other target markets, while buyers are looking for new suppliers. Since no significant improvement is expected in demand for Turkish welded pipe in the short term, Turkish welded pipe quotations are expected to trend in line with hot rolled coil (HRC) prices.
