Sources close to SteelOrbis have reported that current prices for import API X52 line pipe from Korea is being heard at $47.50-$49.00 cwt. ($1047-$1080/mt or $950-$980/nt), DDP loaded truck in US Gulf coast ports.

Pricing from Mexican mills for that same product, which was previously heard in the range of $47-$48 cwt. ($1036-$1058/mt or $940-$960/nt), delivered to Houston, has jumped in the past week.  Current pricing for Mexican API X52 line pipe, delivered to Houston, is now trending at $51.00-$52.00 cwt. ($1124-$1146/mt or $1020-$1040/nt).

Higher rig counts and still-strong oil pricing continues to inspire optimism within the domestic energy pipe industry. Market players will convene next week in Houston at the 2018 NASPD Annual Convention to learn more about the state of industry and to receive an update on the Section 232 investigation.  A wrap-up of conference happenings will be posted after the convention concludes.
