Sideways movement in local Turkish welded pipe market

It is observed that domestic welded pipe prices in Turkey have remained stable during the past week. Although regular welded pipe purchases in the Turkish market are reported to be continuing, market sources believe that it might be hard to find enough demand to support a potential price rise in the market. As a result, domestic welded pipe prices are expected to maintain their sideways movement for a while. In the meantime, demand for Turkish welded pipe in the international markets is still at good levels, with Turkish welded pipe export offers remaining stable week on week.

Accordingly, Turkish producers’ offers for ERW pipes and hollow sections with 2-4 mm wall thickness made from hot rolled coil (HRC) of S235 grade as per EN 10219 to the domestic market have moved sideways in the range of $700-720/mt ex-works.

In the same period, Turkish producers’ export prices for ERW pipes and hollow sections with 2-4 mm wall thickness made from HRC of S235 grade as per EN 10219 have remained stable at $710-730/mt FOB.
