Poland's welded pipe producers have increased their offers by around €10-30/mt over the past month due to adequate demand in January and higher quotations of flat steel. Import offers of Italian welded pipes have moved up by around €50-60/mt over the same period. Bulgarian suppliers have lifted their offers by €40-50/mt, while quotations of Czech pipes have gone up by €20/mt. However, the Polish welded pipe market has now started to see a seasonal lull as many projects have been suspended due to extremely cold weather conditions. Market players believe welded pipe suppliers will not be able to raise their prices in the coming short-term period as demand is expected to improve only by the middle of March.
