“Official” US HSS prices remain unchanged despite discounts

Sources close to SteelOrbis have confirmed that spot market prices for US domestic hollow structural sections (HSS) tubing are still trending at $107-$108 cwt.  ($2,359-$2,381/mt or $2,140-$2,160/nt), FOB mill. Prices have remained in this range for the past 9 weeks. Similar to last week, sources continue to indicate that some mills are providing discounts up to $4 cwt. ($88/mt or $80/nt) below this price range based on volume.
