Nucor follows Atlas, raises HSS prices by $125/nt

Nucor Tubular Products today announced they're raising spot market prices by $6.25 cwt. ($138/mt or $125/nt), effective with all new orders. According a letter sent to customers, "all orders booked prior to this announcement will be price protected for shipments through June 11, 2021. New orders, quotes and contracts not previously confirmed by Nucor will be subject to this increase."

Once the increase takes hold, US HSS prices will be trending at around $100 cwt. ($2,205/mt or $2,000/nt), FOB mill, for new production.
