Local Chinese steel pipe prices remain stable

Local Chinese steel pipe prices have continued their stable trend during the past week.

Chinese domestic seamless pipe prices have continued to move sideways in the past seven days. Overall trading activity has been very slack, with the downstream side mostly on holiday. Market inventory is mostly at low levels, but may increase strongly after the holiday period. As for the week after the Chinese New Year holiday, it is believed that local seamless pipe prices may follow a mostly stable, with some slight reductions also possible.

Chinese domestic welded pipe prices have followed a stable trend during the past week. Overall trading activity has been at avery low levels. Both the upstream and downstream sides have already left the market for the holiday. As for the week after the holiday, it is believed that domestic welded pipe prices may continue their stable trend.
