The local Chinese steel pipe prices have indicated small fluctuations during the past week.
Chinese domestic seamless pipe prices have softened a little during the past seven days. Overall trading activity has been weak with most areas impacted by the off-season and public health measures, which caused most traders to slightly reduce their quoted prices in order to close more deals. As for the week ahead, considering off--season, it is believed that seamless pipe prices will continue their slightly soft trend.
Local Chinese welded pipe prices have either moved sideways or up slightly during the past week. Overall trading activity has been weak due to the off-season. Upstream prices of steel strip and other raw materials have rebounded and so some traders decided to raise their prices by small margins, though most traders choose to keep their prices stable in order to close more deals. As for the week ahead, considering the weak demand side and support from the cost side, it is believed that welded pipe prices may just indicate small fluctuations.
