Local Chinese steel pipe prices have fluctuated slightly in the past seven days.
Chinese domestic seamless pipe prices have indicated minor fluctuations in the past week. Rises in prices of billet and other raw materials have caused minor upticks in some areas, while in other areas prices have moved down slightly due to low demand volume. As for the week ahead, it is believed that local seamless pipe prices will generally move down by small margins due to slack demand during the current offseason.
The local Chinese welded pipe market has mostly moved sideways in the past week, with some upticks also seen due to support from rises in prices of steel strip and raw materials. Overall trading activity has improved slightly and is at normal levels. As for the week ahead, it is believed that local welded pipe prices will decline slightly given the offseason for business.
