Demand in the local Turkish welded pipe market, which had been weak for a while, has improved a little over the past week. Although domestic hot rolled coil (HRC) prices in Turkey have declined slightly this week, Turkish welded pipe producers have increased their prices by $20/mt week on week, supported by better domestic demand and by ongoing strong demand for Turkish welded pipes  in the export market. According to market sources, prices in the local Turkish welded pipe market are expected to continue to rise in the short term, supported by demand in both domestic and export markets.

Accordingly, Turkish producers’ offers for ERW pipes and hollow sections with 2-4 mm wall thickness made from hot rolled coil (HRC) of S235 grade as per EN 10219 to the domestic market are now at $700-720/mt ex-works.

In the same period, Turkish producers’ export prices for ERW pipes and hollow sections with 2-4 mm wall thickness made from HRC of S235 grade as per EN 10219 have increased to $710-730/mt FOB.
