The situation in the seamless pipe market is still unfavourable for CIS exporters. Contrary to the expectations of producers, seamless pipe demand has not picked up in the most countries worldwide. Over the past month, Ukrainian and Russian seamless pipe exporters have decreased their offers by $5-10/mt due to weak buying activity in the export markets. Market insiders expect that foreign demand for Russian and Ukrainian standard seamless pipes will remain weak in the coming month, preventing export quotations from rising.
Export prices from Ukrainian producers for 2"-6" seamless pipes of grade B made to ASTM A106 are quoted at around $830-850/mt FOB for the Middle Eastern market, while pipes as per EN are offered at about $745-775/mt ex-works for the European market.
ChTPZ Group's export quotations for hot-formed pipes with diameter of 48.3-114.3 mm made to GOST 8731/8732 from 10, 20 steel grades or as per ASTM A106 are at $750-790/mt FOB.
Seamless pipes with 89-219 mm diameter of steel grade 10, 20 as per GOST from TMK Group are quoted in the range of $800-830/mt FOB.
