It is observed that sales of domestic welded pipes have continued to be concluded in Turkey during the past week, while price levels in the local welded pipe market have remained unchanged in the same period. Considering the ongoing high levels of domestic hot rolled coil (HRC) prices in Turkey, no downward movement in the local Turkish welded pipe market is expected in the short term. Meanwhile, market sources state that Turkish welded pipe prices in the international markets are still more attractive to buyers as compared to Russian or European welded pipe offers, and so Turkish welded pipe producers are receiving good levels of demand from their export markets.
Accordingly, Turkish producers’ offers for ERW pipes and hollow sections with 2-4 mm wall thickness made from hot rolled coil (HRC) of S235 grade as per EN 10219 to the domestic market have remained stable week on week at $670-700/mt ex-works.
In the same period, Turkish producers’ export prices for ERW pipes and hollow sections with 2-4 mm wall thickness made from HRC of S235 grade as per EN 10219 have increased by $5/mt on the lower end and by $10/mt on the upper end to $690-710/mt FOB.
