The local Chinese steel pipe prices have increased during the past week.

Chinese seamless pipe prices have moved up during the past seven days. Overall trading activity has been weak due to the offseason, the hot summer weather, and ongoing public health measures in some parts of the country. Upstream billet prices first increased in the past week and then began to move down. As for the week ahead, it is believed that seamless pipe prices may move down by a small margin.

Local Chinese welded pipe prices have moved up during the past week, while demand has remained weak due to the offseason. Upstream steel strip prices first increased and later started to soften. As for the week ahead, it is believed that domestic welded pipe prices may move down.
