Atlas Tube today announced they’ll be raising prices on all new orders for HSS products by a minimum of $6.25 cwt. ($138/mt or $125/nt), effective immediately for all new orders. According to the announcement, all orders currently on the mill’s books will be price protected for shipment through Sept. 7, 2021.

This is the mill’s second $6.25 cwt. ($138/mt or $125/nt) price increase in less than a month.

Although current US HSS prices are trending in the range of $113-$114 cwt. ($2,491-$2,513/mt or $2,260-$2,280/nt), FOB mill, it’s widely held that other mills will announce similar increases. It’s further believed that this week’s increase will be accepted, as US HRC prices have continued to climb.
