Atlas Tube, Nucor Tubular Products announce $100/nt increase

Atlas Tube today announced they’ll be raising prices on all orders for mechanical, HSS and piling products by $5.00 cwt. ($110/mt or $100/nt), effective immediately for all new orders. According to the announcement, “all orders currently on our books will be price protected for shipment through January 1, 2021.

According to the Nucor announcement, “Nucor Tubular Products will increase pricing on all new orders for HSS, pipe, mechanical and piling products by a minimum of $5.00 cwt. ($110/mt or $100/nt), due to rising raw material costs, strong demand, and volatility of transportation costs.”
Nucor further stated that all orders booked prior to the announcement will be price protected for shipments through Dec. 31, adding that open orders effective Jan. 1 will be “price in effect” at the time of shipment.
