Short sea scrap purchasing activity in Turkey have been quiet over the past week. According to market sources, ex-Adriatic HMS I/II 80:20 scrap are still at $280-285/mt CFR Turkish port. On the other hand, Russian scrap suppliers' scrap offers to Turkey indicate that they do not want to reduce their HMS I/II 80:20 scrap prices below the level of $290/mt CFR Turkish port.

Meanwhile, SteelOrbis has been informed this week that some Turkish steel mills have given firm bids for ex-Adriatic HMS I/II 80:20 scrap at $275/mt and for ex-Black Sea HMS I/II 80:20 scrap at $282-283/mt, both CFR Turkish port.
