According to market sources, Vietnamese customers have resumed ex-US bulk scrap purchases with a deal for 30,000 mt from the West Coast reported at $475/mt CFR for HMS I/II 80:20. Negotiations for the contract of the US suppliers from their scrapyard in Australia were in place at the same price level. Last week, the indicative price level for HMS I/II 80:20 scrap by bulk was estimated at $460-465/mt CFR Vietnam.

The latest deal for ex-Japan H2 scrap to Vietnam was at $455/mt CFR, as SteelOrbis reported earlier, but most offers have been at $465-470/mt CFR lately, so trading has slowed down.
