US Ohio Valley scrap prices settle up as expected

Sources close to SteelObis have confirmed that scrap prices in the Ohio Valley have settled up as expected. However, they’ve also been quick to point out that deals above these ranges have been taking place on a seller-by-seller basis, which “makes it hard to determine the true settled levels, because it’s varying widely.”

For example, several sources have confirmed knowledge of deals on busheling scrap that have taken place as high as $400/gt, depending on the seller.
