SteelOrbis has learned that scrap prices in the Ohio Valley / Chicago regions have not yet settled, as many scrap yards are trying to sell at price points that are above October settled levels.  Although some mills offering as much as up $20/gt on certain grades, other mills have entered the market at across-the-board-sideways.

“We think busheling will be up $10-20. Cut grades and shred will probably remain sideways.”

Settled prices are likely to emerge on Monday, another source said.

Detroit, the Northeast and the South have already settled, at “mostly sideways.”
