US Northeast settled scrap prices for November

As expected, scrap prices in the Northeast have settled at “sideways to up $10/gt,” sources note, adding that most of the up $10/gt pricing reflects a bump from the lowest prices heard in October, some of which were viewed as outliers in last month’s settled price report. As such, SteelOrbis’ settled price ranges are largely on par with levels reported last month.

“We’re not happy about sideways pricing, I can tell you that much,” a source said.
