US foundry grade pig iron import prices increase

On July 11, SteelOrbis reported low-manganese or foundry grade pig iron offers at $370-380/mt FOB Baltic sea or approximately $380-390/mt CFR US port.

According to sources, low-manganese or foundry grade pig iron is presently on offer from the CIS region in the wide range of $390-415/mt CFR US port. A Russian firm increased its offers from a week ago by $5/mt and this week offered foundry grade pig iron at $405/mt FOB Baltic Sea or approximately $415/mt CFR US port. The present price range has increased $10/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $25/mt from the top of the previous range.
