Today, January 27, most Izmir-based Turkish mills have reduced their ship scrap purchase quotations by $5-10/mt as compared to the levels recorded yesterday, while only one mill has kept its price stable in this period. The general range of ship scrap purchase quotations in Turkey has decreased by $5/mt on the upper end and is currently at $415-425/mt. The downward revisions were made after Turkey concluded an ex-UK transaction at lower levels.
