Turkish ship scrap market starts week with significant price rise

The local Turkish ship scrap market has started the current week with a significant price rise. All Izmir-based Turkish mills have raised their ship scrap purchase quotations by $5-15/mt today, March 1. As a result, the general range of ship scrap purchase quotations in Turkey has increased from $405-415/mt to $420-425/mt.

In Turkey's Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
