Turkish domestic scrap prices continue to decline

Monday, 16 September 2019 15:56:29 (GMT+3)   |   Istanbul

At the beginning of this week, some Turkish steelmakers have reduced their domestic scrap purchase prices again due to the weak sentiment in the import segment. As a result, the prices have decreased by TRY 15-125/mt depending on the producer; however, on US dollar basis the decline amounted to $7-20/mt depending on the current exchange rate. More revisions are expected to happen this week, market players foresee.
