Turkey’s ship scrap market settles downward at $345-350/mt

Since SteelOrbis’ report published yesterday, September 8, Turkey’s ship scrap market has decreased by another $5-10/mt, with the price range settling at $345-350/mt for delivery to mill by truck. Ship scrap prices are expected to remain under pressure in the coming week, as Turkish mills are not just lowering their ship scrap purchase quotations but this part of an overall price adjustment in the Turkish scrap market, including imports and domestic DKP scrap quotations.

In Turkey's Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
