Two Turkish steelmakers have increased their ship scrap procurement prices by $20/mt today, August 9. As a result, Turkey’s ship scrap market has settled at $370-390/mt for delivery to mill by truck. While sentiment in Turkey’s import and domestic scrap markets continues to remain positive, Izmir-based mills are securing their tonnages by increasing their ship scrap purchase prices.
