Turkey’s local ship scrap prices rise by $14-32/mt in five days

Having started its uptrend on Friday October 15, Turkey’s domestic ship scrap purchase prices have increased again today, October 20. With four Turkish mills in the region deciding on a $5-18/mt rise in their procurement prices, the general price range in Turkey’s ship scrap market now stands at $452-465/mt as compared to $460-465/mt recorded on Monday, October 18.

Depending on the producer, the total increase observed in the local ship scrap market is $14-32/mt over the short period of five days.

In Turkey's Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
