Tokyo Steel domestic scrap prices trend stable

Due to continued strong demand for Japanese H2 scrap in both the domestic and export markets, Tokyo Steel increased scrap buying prices at several of its sites as reported on January 16. After including an additional region and due to currency fluctuations, the average scrap purchase price by Tokyo Steel remains stable at $334/mt for the week beginning January 22.

*Compared to the previous week’s report, this table added Takamatsu site prices.
