Some Turkish mills revise ship scrap purchase prices slightly

Some Izmir region-based Turkish steel producers have revised their ship scrap purchase prices by a slight downward margins of $3/mt as compared to last week. Market sources do not foresee any further sizeable drops in prices in the near future, taking into account that quotations in the import segment seem to have started to stabilize in the latest deals. However, some players report that ship scrap prices are still high based on the current market situation in the steel segment.

In Turkey's Aliaga region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
