The Turkish domestic scrap market has started the current week with new price revisions. Some key market players, including Colakoglu Metalurji, have reduced their prices amid generally weak sentiment. The TRY 10-30/mt decline in domestic scrap purchase prices have resulted in a $3-7/mt slide in prices on US dollar basis. Moreover, the expectations for import scrap prices remain negative, and so some further weakening in prices in the local market is possible, SteelOrbis understands.
