Some key Turkish mills raise local scrap purchases prices

Some key Turkish mills have increased their domestic scrap purchase prices again, by TRY 30-60/mt or $6-11/mt this week depending on their scrap needs and on the raw material grade. Market sources have stated that the other Turkish producers may follow suit. Prices have strengthened further due to the price rise in an ex-US scrap deal heard in Turkey today, December 12, SteelOrbis understands.
