Scrap import prices to Pakistan trend stable

On January 3, SteelOrbis reported that offers for containerized shredded (shredded 211) scrap from the EU and UK to Pakistan were at $318-325/mt CFR.

Sources now inform SteelOrbis that prices are trending stable at $318-325/mt CFR. A source noted that the local steel market is expected to increase its steel consuming activities such as construction as “financial audits end and 2019 budgets and activities begin to be get rolled out for Q1.”
