Scrap import offers to Bangladesh trend up

On January 24, SteelOrbis reported average scrap import prices to Bangladesh from various origins at $333/mt CFR on containerized shredded scrap and $318/mt CFR on containerized HMS I/II 80:20. Scrap offers from the EU and UK to Bangladesh were reportedly at $338-343/mt CFR, while HMS I/II 80:20 offers were reportedly at $323-328/mt CFR.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that offer prices from the UK and EU are now up and are reportedly at $340-348/mt CFR for shredded containers and $325-333/mt CFR for containerized HMS I/II 80:20. Both grades increased by $2/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $5/mt from the top of the same range.
