Scrap import offers to Bangladesh remain rangebound

On March 14, SteelOrbis reported containerized shredded scrap import offer prices from the UK and EU to Bangladesh at $347-352/mt CFR, while containerized HMS I/II 80:20 scrap offers were reportedly at $335-340/mt CFR.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that containerized shredded scrap import offers from the UK and EU are now reportedly at $345-350/mt CFR, while containerized HMS I/II 80:20 is reportedly at $335-340/mt CFR. Shredded scrap decreased by $2/mt while HMS I/II 80:20 remains stable. A source noted that the scrap import market for both grades continues quiet while offers “remain relatively strong with a stable outlook into April which may prompt purchases.”
