On December 28, SteelOrbis reported scrap offers from the EU and UK to Bangladesh continuing to trend down. Ex-EU and ex-UK containerized shredded scrap prices declined to $340-345/mt CFR while containerized HMS I/II 80:20 remained relatively stable at $320-330/mt CFR. Sources inform SteelOrbis today that the import market continues quiet on the buying side but some sellers are firming up offers on the upper side of the ranges carried over before year-end.
