It is reported that, as Greek rebar producers have been concluding plenty of export deals for a while now, their domestic rebar supply has declined. Additionally, Italian rebar exporters which had been selling rebar to Greece at €480-490/mt ($576-588/mt) CFR until two weeks ago, are currently making deals to the US market at higher prices, and so they are not interested in the Greek rebar market.

Meanwhile, Greek rebar buyers have increased their price inquiries amid warmer weather conditions and the acceleration of construction activities. Under these circumstances, domestic rebar prices in Greece have increased by an average of €30/mt week on week to €520-530/mt ($624-636/mt) ex-warehouse.
