Prices in Turkish ship scrap market move up

Ship scrap purchase prices in Turkey have increased by $5-7/mt since Friday, May 29, to the range of $242-245/mt, delivery to mill by truck. The firmness of import scrap quotations has been reflected in all scrap segments, and so ship scrap and domestic scrap purchase prices are gaining strength.

In Turkey's Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
